AI technology companies keep pushing the boundaries of machine intelligence. QHow focuses on expanding human capabilities.
Through SynLearn, QHow helps people learn faster, explore more deeply, and grow with AI, rather than feel anxious or afraid in the face of technological progress.
Progress in AI capabilities and human capabilities should reinforce each other, rather than form a zero-sum competition.
Founded in Toronto, Canada in 2020, QHow Technology explores and develops AI-native learning technologies. With SynLearn as our core technology framework, we research how to coordinate AI agents around people’s long-term development goals, strengthening self-directed learning, understanding, judgment, exploration and creativity.
We want advances in machine intelligence to support human development, giving people greater autonomy and freedom of choice.
SynLearn is QHow's emerging technology framework: methods, processes and algorithms for learning with AI. It connects evolving context spaces with intelligent learning companions to strengthen human understanding, motivation and capability.
How can we dynamically organize a group of AI agents around a person’s long-term development goals, helping cognition, motivation, and action work together over time?
Learning methods, attention convergence and adaptive collaboration strategies.
Interconnected spaces for knowledge, goals, experiences and exploration.
Personal companions, AI mentors and community agents supporting continuous learning.
AI-native learning makes AI a participant in learning. Through continually evolving context spaces, it strengthens people’s ability to learn independently, understand, and create.
Inspired by the Rider and Elephant metaphor of the human mind: the Rider plans and chooses a direction, while the Elephant supplies emotion, instinct and drive. A collective of AI agents helps them move together, turning personal goals into sustained learning and exploration.

Our Chinese name 趣好科技 takes its meaning from curiosity, interests and passions. Curiosity invites exploration; learning builds understanding; practice builds capability — opening the way to richer interests and greater freedom.
Learning should open possibilities, not create new burdens. We envision a future where people overcome barriers to knowledge, rediscover curiosity, and gain more freedom to explore, create and enjoy life.

With a master’s degree in Software Engineering, Yingfeng has worked in software development, technical education and team management since 2004, and has collaborated with more than ten universities on co-op programs. He founded QHow in Toronto in 2020 to explore how AI can help people learn independently, expand their capabilities and develop freely.
His answers on mathematics, science, history and military affairs earned him Zhihu’s 2014 New Knowledge Contributor distinction. He has approximately 260,000 followers, and his contributions have received more than 39 million views.
QHow is exploring the future of AI-native learning. We welcome conversations with developers, researchers and potential partners.
